Hot liquor tank (HLT). The two pipes on the left connect
to a copper coil on the inside. This is used as a heat exchanger
to heat the mash (Heat Exchange Recirculating Mash System = HERMS).
The wiper motor on the lid turns a paddle to stir the water (more
efficient heat exchange). A 3kW electrical element is used for
heating. The HLT is insulated with 20 mm insulation and covered
with duct tape
